ADIE Chipper was crowned men's champion as Wokingham BC held their end-of-season finals.
In what proved a very tight final, he defeated Andy Franklin 21-15, while the ladies' championship was every bit as exciting with Jill Thorne coming out on top against Marie Fielding 21-18.
It was still a successful weekend for the latter, who managed to get to five finals, winning the ladies' handicap singles and mixed triples.
In the final of the benevolent triples, it required two extra ends to separate the teams, with the triple skipped by Paul Dollery edging out the Trevor Gilmour triple 16-15.
In the ladies' 2-wood singles, Teresa O'Connor managed to edge out Anne-Marie Murray 15-14, and in another edge-of-your seat final, Martin Brailey took the the men's 3wood handicap 22-21 against Martin O'Connor.
