MARLOW are now three matches without a win in all competitions at Oak Tree Road after a 4-2 defeat against Chertsey Town in the Isthmian South Central Division on Saturday, writes Rob Stevens.
A goal from Charlie Samuel gave The Blues the lead inside three minutes before Scott Day equalised for Chertsey, who won the FA Vase last season, soon after.
The home team restored their advantage through Devontae Romeo, but the visitors led at the break thanks to a goal from Michael Peacock plus a Jake Baxter penalty.
Chertsey secured all three points with a goal from Lubomir Guentchev four minutes into the second half.
The defeat means Marlow have dropped three places to ninth position in the league table ahead of a visit to Oak Tree Road from Uxbridge on Tuesday (7.45pm).
Chalfont St Peter suffered a first defeat in the league this season when going down 2-1 at Ware on Saturday.
Goals in the first half from Leigh Rose and Alaa Oujdi gave Ware a clear lead heading into the break at Wodson Park, before Arash Abdollah pulled one back for The Saints in the final minute of normal time.
The defeat means Chalfont have dropped one place to fifth position in the league table ahead of a trip to Hertford Town on Tuesday (7.45pm).
