With a two-week training camp in Spain starting this weekend for the Royals, the club has confirmed their fixtures over the course of the fortnight, including La Liga side Sevilla.

First up, on Wednesday July 10, Reading face Gibraltar Premier Division side, Europa FC (kick-off 7.30pm, local time).

Then, on Saturday July 13, the Royals will be travelling from their team base in Estepona to take on Spanish giants and five-time Europa League champions, Sevilla.

Not only will José Gomes’ men be pitting their wits against one of Europe’s top-performing clubs, but this match will also be open to supporters in Seville. The game will take place at Estadio Municipal “Felipe del Valle” en San José de la Rinconada, kicking off at 9pm (local time).

Tickets will be priced between €5-10 for this match and all proceeds will be donated to local grassroots footballing projects in the area.

The Royals will then return back to base as they prepare for a double header on Tuesday July 16 – first they will play Malaga B (kick-off 10am, local time) before a second Royals side will take on Spanish second-tier outfit Extremadura UD in the same evening (kick-off 7.30pm, local time).

The day before the squad fly home, they will play a second double-header as the travelling squad split into two teams once more for two friendlies on Saturday July 20.

In the morning, the Royals will take on a Lincoln City side that have made their way up to League One, following two promotions in three impressive seasons for Danny Cowley’s men. That match is due to kick off at 10am (local time).

And the final friendly match of the tour will see Reading face off against newly-promoted La Liga outfit, Granada CF on the evening of Saturday 20th July (kick-off 7.30pm), before the squad head home the following day.

The club have already announced two fixtures which are set to be played on UK soil - we will begin our summer’s preparation by playing Southend at Hogwood Park this weekend, kick-off 12noon on Saturday July 6.

Then, less than a week before our campaign begins, Madejski Stadium will host Europa League winners Chelsea on Sunday July 28, kicking off at 3pm. Tickets for this game are due to go on sale to supporters very shortly.
