LONDON Irish have added Brad Davis to their coaching team ahead of their return to the Gallagher Premiership.

The Australian, who has previously worked with Wasps and Bath, was most recently involved with Welsh outfit Ospreys in the Pro14, helping them overcome Scarlets in the play-off to secure a spot in the European Champions Cup.

He said: “I am really excited at the opportunity to join London Irish. The club is steeped in history and is on an exciting journey as it moves into the Premiership next season.

“Having spoken at length with the club, I am excited about the vision and look forward to working in London Irish’s coaching team.”

The former rugby league player will link up with London Irish from Monday, joining director of rugby, Declan Kidney, head coach, Les Kiss, and assistant coaches George Skivington and Declan Danaher on the staff.

Kidney believes Brad’s appointment is a great coup for the club, stating: “He has a wealth of coaching experience working with some very good sides and has experience of playing in Europe.

“Brad will add a vast amount of knowledge to our coaching set-up and will complement the already great work our current coaches do. I know that Les, George and Dec are really looking forward to having him on board.”
