BRACKNELL-BASED The Ring boxing club are celebrating a hugely successful season.
Among the top performers were Muhammad Safari, Tommy Smith, Jake Massey and Henry Killestein, who all picked up gold medals in the Lonsdale Cup, while Harvie James took home silver at that event.
In the Under 10 national championships, Ollie Killestein defeated brother Henry to take first prize, and at the National Schoolboy Championships, Safari completed a great campaign by taking another gold.
Clubmate Zayan Siddiq also came away with a bronze.
Coach Darren Taylor reflected on the achievements, stating: "All in all it has been a great season for the club.
"We’re looking forward to the next season when we’ll be seeing the next generation of our youngsters who are currently training going in for their first competitions.
"We’ve been steadily growing as a club since I founded the gym nearly five-and-a-half years ago, and we’re expecting great things for the future." The gym will be re-opening for training on Tuesday, July 2.
