HARPSDEN continued their relentless pursuit of the Berkshire, Chilterns and Mid Bucks Championship Division title with a facile seven-wicket victory against the only other previously unbeaten team, Braywood, writes Richard Ashton.

Despite gifting 38 extras to the visitors, Australian Blake Hogan-Keogh (3-18), Tom Hancock (3-27) and Abdul Khaliq (3-31) did the damage as Braywood were bowled out for 149.

Despite losing two early wickets, that target never looked sufficient and Ben Watson's unbeaten 82 eased Harpsden home in 29.2 overs.

Holmer Green made it back-to-back wins with a four-wicket success against West Reading.

Prasantha Weerakoon took 4-29 to restrict Wests to 174-9, Adeel Razaq top scoring with 41.

Usamah Mahmood (4-46) impressed with the ball for the visitors, but a hard-hitting 51 from 38 balls from Jake Gumb, allied to a more sedate unbeaten 46 from Weerakoon, guided Green to 176-6 with more than 15 overs to spare.

Second-placed Checkendon ensured Peppard Stoke Row remain winless by edging to a three-wicket victory.

Under 16 Owen Simmons (59) made his maiden 50 for PSR, but their total of 192-8 proved to be under-par as Mayank Kedia (87no) and Amol Tyagi (42) ushered Checks (193-7) to victory.

Basement side Penn & Tylers Green put in a much-improved display, but still went down by 18 runs at home to Ley Hill.

Nick Lee (45) and Justin Hutchins (43) batted well for the Hill as they were dismissed for 212, Johnny Hughes (4-58) and Charlie Beard (4-43) impressing with the ball.

Chris Mason (47) and Raunak Biswas (57) put on 63 for the opening wicket to put Penn on track, but their innings fell away once Lewis Thompson (3-46) and Jack Thompson (3-29) got to work, the hosts eventually closing on 194-9.

Puneet Kapoor (73no) and opener Sak Bhatti (53) impressed for Ruislip Victoria (220-4) in their 41-run victory against winless Ballinger Waggoners (179).

Richard O'Kelly (89) fought a lone battle for the home side, with Shair Khan (4-51) and Zafran Akhtar (3-30) ensuring their side left triumphant.
