EVERSLEY captain Tom Howorth struck 101 as his side continued their dream start to the Division 2a season by thumping Marlow by 180 runs, writes Richard Ashton.

The Boars have won four from four and another dominant display saw them rack up an imposing 330, with James Magowan (87), Alex Sykes (42) and Byron Hickman (40) also among the runs.

Marlow never got going in reply, and with Tom Nichols grabbing 5-43, the hosts were knocked over for 150.

Eversley host Kew on Saturday.

In Division 2b, Hurst also retained their perfect record with a dramatic one-wicket win at home to Reading.

Nick Reynolds took 3-50 as the visitors were bowled out for 222, and useful contributions from Ollie Lovegrove (46), Chris McCarthy (42no) and James Watt (41) saw Hurst edge over the line with seven balls to spare.

Hurst travel to Fleet this coming Saturday.

Rock bottom Royal Ascot lost for the fourth straight week as they went down by 33 runs at Beaconsfield.

Mike Brown took 3-45 as the hosts totalled 285-9, and despite fine innings from Jeremy Hare (64), John Dunnett (54) and Jack Kendall (40), Asc to could only reach 252 in reply.

Royal Ascot will hope to break their duck at home to Thatcham Town on Saturday.

Finchampstead 2nds walloped Bagshot by 211 runs.

Ryan Bone (122), Andy Lazenbury (59), Phil West (57) and Jason Soames (48) helped Finch amass a huge 347-5, and with Lazenbury (3-25) completing a fine all-round display, Bagshot were knocked over for just 136.

Jack Collett (56no and 4-21) was the star of the show as Division 3a leaders Binfield made it four wins from four with an 88-run triumph against Cove 2nds.

Chris Morgan also made 62 for Binfield as they posted 223-7 before dismissing their opponents for 135.

Binfield host Falkland 2nds on Saturday.

Adam Kite (4-38 and 70) starred with bat and ball for Bracknell (192), but they suffered a fourth straight Division 4a defeat when going down by 149 runs to Newbury (341-8).

Bracknell visit North Maidenhead 2nds this Saturday.

Division 5b leaders Eversley maintained their 100 per cent record with an eight-wicket drubbing of Aldershot 2nds.

Rezaul Roni (4-9) was the star of the show as the Boars routed their opponents for just 68, and Eversley raced to 69-2 in just 11.4 overs in reply.

Royal Ascot 2nds (227-7) lost by seven wickets to Thatcham Town 2nds (230-3).

James Collett (80) and Lewis Hall (51) led the way for Binfield 2nds (255-7) as they beat Boyne Hill 3rds (194-8) by 61 runs.

Jake White made a fine unbeaten 89 and also took 4-58, but it was not enough to stop Hurst 2nds (204) losing to Fleet 2nds (242) by 38 runs in Division 6b.

Sultan Khokhar took 4-38 for Finchampstead 4ths (202-7), but despite Adil Mohammed (73no) and Billy Olivers' (57) best efforts, they lost by 56 runs to Sulhamstead 2nds (258-7).

In Division 7a, John Humphrey's 81 led Binfield 3rds (200-3) to a seven-wicket success against Aldershot 3rds (199).

James Docker made 57 for Royals Ascot 3rds (183-8), but they lost by four wickets to Slough 5ths (184-6).

Division 8a leaders Eversley 3rds (131-4) kept up their perfect start with a six-wicket win against Bracknell 2nds (130).

Finchampstead 5ths lost an extraordinary high-scoring game by four runs to Bradfield 2nds.

The visitors smashed their way to 312-4 in their 40 overs on the back of centuries from Mark Baker (135) and Dave Balkissoon (104), but Finch (308-3) nearly overcame their opponents on the back of tremendous innings from Scott Osler (142 from 108 balls) and Simon Eldridge (95).

Eversley 4ths were without a Division 9a game last weekend.
