SANDHURST Town paid the penalty for missed chances when losing 2-0 at Farnham in Division One.
They made a promising start and struck the woodwork, but found themselves two goals down by half-time with Elliot Cardona netting in the 32nd and 40th minutes.
The Fizzers, who played away to Bagshot last night (Tuesday), entertain Kensington Borough at Bottom Meadow this Saturday (3pm).
Eversley & California were beaten 4-2 at home by Frimley Green to remain second-bottom in the table.
Ross McKernan headed them into the lead, but moments later the visitors were on level terms thanks to George Bowerman, who then set up a goal for Ali Kamara.
Jordan Goater made it 2-2 by turning home Will Shaw's cross, but the Boars' hopes of securing a valuable point were killed off by two late Frimley goals from Zac Horkan (penalty) and Sean Latimer.
Eversley are away to tailenders Cove this Saturday in a game which could decide who finishes the season bottom of the pile.
