EAST Berkshire's men’s Winter Greensomes series with the best three out of four scores to count was won by Mark Law with 118 points, followed by Peter Webb and Kevin Parsley with 115 points.

The monthly winners and runners-up for the competitions were:

November – 1st Kevin Brant and Gary Smallbone 43 points; 2nd Ian Carter and Peter Webb 41 points;

December – 1st Mark Law and Richard LeRoy 42 points, 2nd Lee Mason and Peter Stevens 40 points;

January – 1st Martin Green and Max Kaye 41 points, 2nd Jason Kempson and Mark Law 39 points;

February – 1st Laurie Brannan and Nick Cook 39 points, 2nd Orbin Curtis and Kevin Parsley 39 points.

The 2019 season for the men's section opened with the March monthly medal, with 107 players taking part.

Division One was won by Jason Kempson (6hcp) who returned nett 64, including a hole-in-one, to win by three shots from Ian Carter (12hcp).

Division Two was won by Mick Breslin (17hcp) with a nett 71, followed by Nicholas Stone (19hcp) with 72.

The club held an integrated intermediate and junior Stableford competition and victory went to Kiyan Ducker (7hcp) with 36 points, two ahead of runner-up Jamie Bylett (12hcp).

The ladies' section put on a Texas Scramble with Glyn Carroway, Kate Carter, Carole Hewitt and Rena Hobbs returning a nett 66.2 to take the honours ahead of Heather Amor, Carol Baldry, Amanda Bancroft and Christine Moore who returned nett 66.7.
