SOUTH Berkshire ladies slipped to a 3-0 home defeat against Trysports Three Counties League Premier Division One leaders Sonning, writes Richard Ashton.
The sixth-placed side travel to struggling Amersham & Chalfont 2nds on Saturday.
In Division One, South Berkshire 2nds eased past basement side Sonning 3rds to stay top of the table by a point with two games remaining.
Holly Bentley and Sandra Doddington were among the goalscorers as Division Three champions South Berkshire 3rds made it 19 wins from 20 games with a 4-0 cruise at home to Kidlington.
Division Four cellar dwellers South Berkshire 4ths were edged out 2-1 by Wychwood Badgers, Eve Henshaw and Claire Brannan netting for the visitors.
Third-bottom South Berkshire men – who did not have a game last weekend – return to MBBO Regional Two action at Phoenix & Ranelagh this coming Saturday (11.30am).
Mike Baylis, Tony Heaver, Paul Kaplanski and Daniel Ray were all on the scoresheet for South Berkshire 2nds as they secured a 4-2 victory at Oxford Hawks 4ths, Dylan Swanepoel getting both goals for the hosts.
A Tom Scott double was not enough for South Berkshire 3rds as they went down 3-2 at home to promotion-chasing Newbury & Thatcham 3rds.
Toby Walters bagged a brace for the visitors, with the other goal coming from Cameron Dunlop.
In Division Eight West, third-placed South Berkshire 4ths beat Sonning 5ths, while South Berkshire Terriers – level on 34 points with their clubmates and second-placed Reading Rovers – overcame Bicester 3rds 2-1.
