Tom King – with his 21st goal of the season – and Ravi Patel were the visitors' goalscorers, but it proved insufficient as Dan Merrel and James Ashburner both bagged braces for Marlow.
Third-bottom South Berkshire do not have a game this coming weekend, returning to action at Phoenix & Ranelagh on Saturday, March 23.
A Paul Kaplanski hat-trick earned South Berkshire 2nds a point from their 3-3 home draw with Thame in their Division Two encounter.

South Berkshire 4ths dropped to third in Division Eight West after they lost 4-3 to Reading Rovers, while South Berkshire Terriers also saw their promotion hopes dented after being held to a 2-2 draw by lowly Oxford 8ths.
South Berkshire ladies lost 1-0 at Oxford 3rds in Premier Division One of the Trysports Three Counties League.
The sixth-placed side host table-topping Sonning this coming Saturday.
Division One leaders South Berkshire 2nds eased to a 5-0 home win against Bicester, while South Berkshire 3rds are also still at the top of the pile following a 6-0 trouncing of University of Reading 4ths.
In Division Four, basement side South Berkshire 4ths picked up a point from their 0-0 draw at Phoenix & Ranelagh 3rds.
