Continuous pressure paid off in the second half, which saw Climance net another three goals, along with one apiece by Toren Wright and Dylan Locke.

Coach Phil Wright said it was “a fantastic team performance”.

FCB dug deep and were rewarded with their fourth goal to ease the pressure.

Eversley’s keeper saved many shots, but Daniel Powell managed to put one past him to score another.

Eversley retaliated and scored immediately, cutting the gap to 2-1 at half-time.

Having weathered an Eversley storm at the start of the second period, Fabio Vitagliano seized the opportunity and netted a goal closely followed by another from Jake Carter to put Athlttic in command.

Eversley broke free and scored a second goal, but Mendham grabbed another to seal the win.
