IN another weather-ravaged weekend, only five fixtures managed to beat the thaw and the rain.
In the Premier Division, Dan Sleet’s strike for Morale Madrid was enough to secure a 1-1 draw at Finchampstead Athletic, a result which sees Madrid remain third and ahead of Finch on goal difference, Brian Murphy scoring for the hosts.
Division Two leaders Sandhurst FFC moved 12 points clear of the pack with a 5-4 victory at home to Woodley Saints who had Rhys York, Matt Hill, Matt Stockhill and Simon Johnson on target, while Ashridge Park Sunday moved up three places to seventh with a 4-1 victory over Winnersh Rangers, Daniel Ellis with Rangers consolation.
In Division Three, Bearwood Wanderers missed the chance to go back to the top, losing 3-0 at home to Hope & Anchor.
FC Harmanswater also missed a golden opportunity to top their table in Division Four, going down 1-0 at Silver Birch to stay second and three points behind leaders Crownwood Dukes, Jack Bennett with Birch’s winning strike.
