GOALS from Mauritz Ganzer and Tom King were not enough for third-bottom South Berkshire men as they slipped to a 4-2 home defeat to West Hampstead 2nds in MBBO Regional Two, writes Richard Ashton.

A Phil Dumpleton hat-trick and a Scott Wilkie strike did the damage for the away side.

South Berkshire travel to promotion-chasing Oxford 2nds this Saturday (2.30pm).

A Paul Kaplanski brace proved insufficient for South Berkshire 2nds as they went down 5-3 at Oxford 3rds in Division Two.

Mike Baylis also found the back of the net for the visitors, but doubles from Dom Glenister and Jessie Vogel, allied to a Tommy Cowan effort, ensured the home side took all three points.

In Division Three, South Berkshire 3rds were beaten 7-3 at home by Tring, while second-placed South Berkshire 4ths were held to a 1-1 draw by fellow promotion-chasing clubmates South Berkshire Terriers in Division Eight West.

South Berkshire ladies remain fourth in Premier Division One of the Trysports Three Counties League following a 1-0 home success against the side one place above them in the table, Slough 2nds.

South Berkshire are at home to Oxford Hawks 3rds this coming Saturday.

In Division One, South Berkshire 2nds were knocked off top spot after being held to a 2-2 draw at home to Oxford University 3rds. They are now two points adrift of new leaders Wallingford 2nds.

Holly Bentley, Emily Whybrow and Kelly Bradley were among the goalscorers for Division Three table-toppers South Berkshire 3rds as they thrashed Abingdon 2nds 7-2.

Jasmine Campbell Sally Hambidge were on target with the consolation goals for the away side.

In Division Four, South Berkshire 4ths dropped into the bottom two after they lost 3-2 to Reading Rogues.
