SOUTH Berkshire men's winless run in MBBO Regional Two was extended to seven matches following their 4-2 home defeat to high-flying Newbury & Thatcham on Saturday, writes Richard Ashton.

Jack Baveystock and Connor Eatwell were on target for the home team, but goals from James Bairstow, Luke Barrington, Martin Hitchcock and Kevin Randall ensured the away side left with all three points.

Ninth-placed South Berkshire visit Banbury 2nds on Saturday.

A sensational hat-trick from Daniel Ray proved the inspiration for South Berkshire 2nds' thrilling 8-4 win at Windsor in MBBO Division Two.

Mike Baylis bagged a brace and there were also goals from Des Saunders, Joseph Hayes and Paul Kaplanski, with Ali Parkes replying with a hat-trick for the hosts and Marcus Barrow-Marques picking up their other.

Duncan Clarke and Sam Pillar were both on target for South Berkshire 3rds, but they went down 4-2 in Division Three to an Amersham & Chalfont 2nds side for whom Michael Bristow netted twice and Geoff Brown and Kern Sorzano also found the back of the net.

In Division Four, South Berkshire 4ths remain third in the table despite crashing 5-1 to leaders Wallingford 4ths, while South Berkshire Terriers are now just a place behind them and level on points after their hard-fought 4-3 home win against Witney 3rds.

South Berkshire Ladies remain fifth in the Trysports Three Counties League Premier Division One table after obliterating rock bottom Sonning 2nds 6-0.

They have a week off before hosting Newbury & Thatcham on Saturday, January 26.

Division One table-toppers South Berkshire 2nds drew 0-0 at home with Abingdon, but Division Three trailblazers South Berkshire 3rds battled to a 2-1 success at Amersham & Chalfont 4ths.

In Division Four, second-bottom South Berkshire 4ths lost 4-1 to Windsor 2nds.
