TWO-MAN Kingfisher A managed a 7-3 win at Kennet Valley Free Church A, but saw Reading & District League Division One title rivals Kingfisher B close the gap on them to just six points after they whitewashed Sonning Common & Peppard C 10-0.

Third-placed Sonning Common & Peppard A were 8-2 winners over Tidmarsh A with in-form Jason Roberts starring with a treble.

Phil Mead’s three-straight treble helped Kingfisher C to an 8-2 win at Curzon Club A, Alan Cummings winning twice.

Lee Calcutt and Tony Baker both got trebles as Tidmarsh B held off a spirited challenge from bottom-of-the-table Milestone A to win 8-2.

Springfield A continued their promotion challenge in Division Two by winning 8-2 at Curzon Club B, Phil Burke with another maximum supported by two wins apiece from Adam Sheen and Ludovic Coulliard. For Curzon, Nick Lean managed a double.

Fellow promotion-chasers Milestone B were defeated 7-3 at Tilehurst Methodists A, for whom Keith Winter and Michael Williams starred.

Our Lady of Peace C continued their winning ways with a 6-4 victory at Sonning Sports A, while Kingfisher F were held to a 5-5 draw by Pangbourne WMC.

Our Lady of Peace B and Sonning Common & Peppard D also shared the spoils 5-5, Dave Godfrey starring for OLOP with a maximum.

Trebles from Clive Perry, Chris West and Darek Kaminski saw Our Lady of Peace A cruise to a 10-0 victory over struggling Kingfisher E.

In Division Three, Kingfisher G had a sensational 10-0 win at Reading FC A with David Wells, Gwynne Penny and Nils Wedi all gaining hat-tricks.

Our Lady of Peace D enjoyed a fine 9-1 win at Tidmarsh D with Paul Treadgold and Graham Stark both hitting trebles, while Tidmarsh C beat Kingfisher H 9–1 thanks to Simon Craig and Ian Wu, who both gained maximums.

Tilehurst Methodists B had a good 9–1 win over Sonning Common & Peppard E with Eric Van Looy and Martin Wetherell both getting maximums, while Curzon Club C and Springfield C shared the spoils with Springfield’s Adrian Wegrzynowski hitting a fine treble as the two sides battled out a hard-fought 5-5 draw.

Despite fielding only two players, Sonning Common & Peppard G still managed to draw 5-5 with Springfield E in their Division Four match, thanks to an Anthony Reeve treble.

Milestone C won 8-2 at Kingfisher I thanks to maximums from Carl Edlind and John Evans, Tony Hayden being denied his maximum by Sandeep Burande.

Tidmarsh E beat Kennet Valley Free Church B 8-2, Steve Andrews recording a maximum, while John Harland and Pete Sinclair both won twice.

In a very competitive match, Our Lady of Peace E drew 5-5 with third-placed Reading FC B, Chris Bunn winning two for OLOP, while, for Reading FC, Derek Anderson and Joe Bull each won twice.

Tilehurst Methodists drew level on points with leaders OLOP, following their 7-3 win at Sonning Common & Peppard F, with Roy Hull, Steve Wood and Rob James all losing to Mike Casserley, thus ending with two wins each.
