SOUTH Berkshire ladies climbed up to sixth in the Trysports Three Counties League Premier Division One table following their 2-1 home victory against Amersham & Chalfont 2nds, writes Richard Ashton.

Caitlin Halbard scored for the visitors, with South Berkshire due to host Maidenhead 2nds this coming Saturday (11.30am).

In Division One, South Berkshire 2nds were knocked off top spot after being held to a 1-1 home draw by Amersham & Chalfont 3rds, Olivia Leese on target for the visitors.

Division Three table-toppers South Berkshire 3rds put Banbury 4ths to the sword, running out 12-0 victors.

Caroline Apsey (pictured), Holly Bentley, Safeeyah Rashid, Mikaela Anderson and Kelly Bradley were among the home side’s goalscorers.

Struggling South Berkshire 4ths crashed to a 6-1 reverse against Oxford 6ths in their Division Four clash.

South Berkshire men dropped to ninth place in the MBBO Regional Two standings after having a week off.

They hosts basement side Phoenix & Ranelagh this coming Saturday (noon).

In Division Two, South Berkshire 2nds were beaten 3-1 at home by Oxford Hawks 4ths.

Josh Chapman was on target for the hosts, but a Paul Scragg double combined with a Chris Maidlow effort were enough to secure all three points for Hawks.

South Berkshire 3rds won a seven-goal thriller 4-3 at Newbury & Thatcham 3rds in Division Three.

Tom Scott scored twice for the visitors – taking his tally for the season to 12 – with the other goals coming from Kai Gordeno and Duncan Clarke.

South Berkshire 4ths moved up to third in the Division Eight West table after beating Sonning 5ths 4-2, but South Berkshire Terriers suffered a 3-1 home defeat against second-placed Bicester 3rds.
