BRACKNELL Town have now decided their Berks & Bucks Senior Cup second-round tie against Reading U23s on Tuesday, November 27 (7.45pm) will be all-ticket.

The Bostik League club, having already sold around 600 tickets, are expecting a crowd close to l,000.

Tickets can be ordered by emailing the Bracknell club's secretary Ricky Simons at ricky@bracknelltownfc.com

They cost £5 with £3 for concessions.

Berks & Bucks are hoping Reading FC will enter the Women's Senior Cup next year, particularly as Wycombe Wanderers, Milton Keynes Dons and Maidenhead United are supporting the competition this season.

THERE can't be many non-league clubs, particularly, in the Hellenic League, who sell replica shirts to their supporters.

But Reading City are doing just that, offering home shirts for everyone, from the age of five up to size XXL.

Chairman Martin Law said the first 11 blue shirts were ordered within hours of them being made available last week.

READING FC's community department – headed by community trust manager Dave Evans – were well represented when Crosfields School in Shinfield Road hosted a 36-team girls football festival for primary schools on Tuesday.

In a town which desperately needs a decent pool, Crosfields' swimming facilities are so good they are up to fourth place in the UK's Independent Association of Prep Schools ranking list.

A new all-weather sports surface has just been installed and another cricket square is also planned as the school looks to extend their upper age limit from 13 to 16 years.

READING-BASED rower Daniel Brown has been shortlisted for a top award.

The 35-year-old, along with Ellen Buttrick, Grace Clough, Ollie Stanhope and cox Erin Wysocki-Jones won gold at the Para World Championships in Plovdiv in September, holding off a strong challenge from the USA.

Now the PR3 mixed coxed four have been named as one of three finalists in the Para-rowing crew of the year category at the World Rowing Awards, with the winner being announced on November 23.

They are up against France’s PR2 W1x winner Perle Bouge and dominant Dutch PR2 Mix2x duo Annika van der Meer and Corne de Koning for the award.
