KRASIMER Ivanov, Hari Gehlot and Dmitry Khakhamov trebles saw Kingfisher A earn a fourth consecutive 10-0 win as they continued their impressive start to the Reading & District League Division One season by beating clubmates Kingfisher C.

Kingfisher B are eight points behind in second place after they won 9-1 at Curzon Club A, Martin Adams and Mark Banks with maximums while Pete Bradley managed a good consolation win for Curzon over Richard Rosinski.

Sonning Common & Peppard A are up to third after they won 9-1 at Tidmarsh B thanks to trebles from Joe Barraclough and Neil Hurford.

Duncan Groves, Steve Murgatroyd and John Golding proved too strong for Kennet Valley Free Church A as Tidmarsh A moved into the top half of the able with a 10-0 win, while a tight match between two relegation battlers went the way of Kingfisher D who beat Milestone A 6-4, Graham Mendick with a fine treble for Milestone, while Grant Wheatley and Clive Gold won twice for Kingfisher.

Springfield A moved top of Division Two, Phil Burke and Ludovic Couillard both getting maximums as they won impressively 9-1 at Kingfisher E.

Roger Pritchard bagged a maximum in Kingfisher F’s 7-3 win over Curzon Club B, while a Keith Winter treble and two from Jes Eassom saw Tilehurst Methodists A win 6-4 at Our Lady of Peace A.

Our Lady of Peace C moved up the table after an 8-2 derby win against clubmates OLOP B, Abhay Gore with a treble, while Pangbourne WMC and Sonning Sports A battled out a 5-5 draw, Paul Savage with a maximum.

In Division Three, Springfield B thrashed Curzon Club C 9–1 with Peter Gurney and Steve Leggett both gaining trebles.

Reading FC A just got home against Our Lady of Peace D 7–3 with Paul Brown hitting a maximum, while Ania Pytka bagged a brace against Springfield C to help Kingfisher H gain four points from a 6-4 defeat, Peter Bennett winning the other two. Chris Taylor won all three for Springfield.

Hat-tricks from Dave Edwards and Terry Hardie helped Tidmarsh D win 7-3 at Sonning Sports B, and Tilehurst Methodists B won 7-3 at Tidmarsh C with Nigel Rowland and Eric Van Looy both hitting trebles.

Kingfisher G and Sonning Common & Peppard E shared the spoils in a 5-5 draw with David Wells winning all three for Kingfisher, while Melvyn Lovegrove and Derek Wavell won twice for Sonning Common.

By beating Springfield E 9-1, Reading FC B now lead Division Four by two points.

Joe Bull and Harry Edwards both returned maximums, with Derek Anderson only able to record a double. Our Lady of Peace E overcame Kingfisher I 7-3 thanks to a treble from Chris Bunn and a double from Alona Slobodskoy.

Springfield D lost 7-3 to Sonning Common & Peppard G, who won thanks to a Marko Madzar treble, a double from David Pearson and a single from Arran Reeve, with Maggie Kellermann-Thornton’s double and Chris Speight’s single earning Springfield their points.

Kennet Valley Free Church B recorded their first win, beating Sonning Sports C 7-3 with Steve Christelow recording a maximum, while both Russ Moores and Jamie Li-Telford recorded their first wins.

Sonning Sports gained their points thanks to a John Scott double and a Phil Peat single.

Tilehurst Methodists C beat visitors Milestone C 7-3, Rob James and Steve Wood both returning maximums, with Tony Hayden, Colin Phillips and John Evans each recording one win each for Milestone.
