Woodcote effectively put the game to bed in the space of five second-half minutes when the outstanding Taylor, enjoying one of his best displays for the club, first struck a stunning left-footed volley into the back of the net before unleashing a powerful drive which made it 3-0.

Hurst rallied and reduced the deficit thanks to Tim Grenham, but it was WSR who had the final word when Miller showed great skill and poise to play-in Offley who hammered the ball home at the second attempt.
