Sunningdale Bowling Club are nearing the end of the 2018 outdoor season on a high.
The club travelled to Abingdon for the third leg of the annual tri-tournament against the hosts and Prospect Park.
The competition was launched in 2013 when all three clubs celebrated their centenaries, and has been an annual fixture since.
After the two legs played at Prospect and Sunningdale, the teams were equal on eight points making the final leg a decider.
Sunningdale emerged the victors to regain the trophy after four years, having secured six points with a highest scoring rink of Margaret Ward, Tom Aldridge, Mike Bateman and Peter Sparks (skip).
Sunningdale Ladies won 55-42 at Royal Household. Highest scoring rink was Margaret Ward, Kathryn Mathias and Marjorie Walklett (skip).
Sunningdale’s winter short mat season starts on Wednesday, October 3 when all newcomers will be welcome. For details email enquiries@sunningdalebowling.co.uk
