PREMIER Division table-toppers Reading YMCA extended their unbeaten league record to a staggering 65 matches with a comfortable 3-0 home success against Berks County, writes Richard Ashton.

Second-placed Marlow United remain unbeaten after Ollie Flint’s brace helped them to a 2-0 success against Wraysbury Village, while James Elderton’s effort proved a mere consolation as Woodley United Royals lost 4-1 at Reading City U23s.

Danny Seaward’s stunning late piledriver helped Mortimer inflict a first defeat of the season on Woodcote Stoke Row as they came away with a 3-2 victory.

A Johnny Adey header put the home team in front before Mortimer turned the tables to go 2-1 up, only for Sam Green to bundle home from a goalmouth scramble to level matters.

However, with the game entering injury-time, Seaward picked up the ball outside the left-hand of the penalty area and blasted an unstoppable shot into the top-left corner of Kane Roberts’ goal.

Richings Park made it back-to-back victories with a 4-0 rout of Wokingham & Emmbrook Reserves, while Cookham Dean eased to a 2-0 success at Westwood United.

Division One leaders Newbury extended their perfect start to three matches with a 4-1 cruise at Finchampstead.

Substitute Russell Benham grabbed a double and Dan Langford and Carl Self were also on the scoresheet for the away side.

Isaac Sedu bagged all five goals to lead FC Imaan Lions to a dramatic 5-4 win in a nine-goal thriller at Maidenhead Town.

Goals from Lewis Critcher and Kieran North had put the home side 2-0 up, only for Sedu to knock in four to put his side in command going into an exciting final 10 minutes.

Mitchell Burley cut the deficit on 83 minutes, only for Sedu to make it 5-3, and while Burley netted again with two minutes remaining, it proved too little, too late.

Goals from Shaun Bannon and replacement Ryan Pownall earned Hurst a 2-1 home win against White Eagles, Westwood United Reserves trounced Rotherfield United 5-2 and the game between Cookham Dean Reserves and Eldon Celtic was abandoned.

Mortimer Reserves leapfrogged Woodcote Stoke Row Reserves on goal difference at the head of the Division Two standings following a 6-1 demolition of Harchester Hawks.

Casey Warwick helped himself to a fine hat-trick, Andrew Johnstone-Archer bagged a brace and an own goal completed the scoring as Mortimer eased home.

Woodcote Stoke Row Reserves hit back from 2-0 down to earn a point from their 2-2 draw at Maidenhead Town Reserves.

Steve Newell put the hosts in front in the second minute, with Nathan Harrowell doubling the advantage mid-way through the first half.

A Luke Joyner strike earned Pangbourne a 1-1 draw with Henley Town.

In Division Four, Westwood United A squeezed past AFC Corinthians A 1-0.

An Ashley Lamb brace and goals from Michael Fairburn, Jordan Watson and Alex Lambert helped Hurst Reserves progress in the Berks & Bucks Junior Cup with a 5-0 rout of Woodley United A, while Slough Heating Laurencians Reserves edged past Wargrave 1-0.

Sean Kelly’s goal was enough to help Twyford & Ruscombe eliminate Stoke Poges Saints Reserves 1-0, and Cintra Park Rovers also went through after beating Phoenix Old Boys Reserves 4-1.

Matt Panton grabbed a brilliant hat-trick to fire Berks County Rovers to a thrilling 5-4 win against Harchester Hawks Development, Jordan Ryan and Richard Cumner adding the other goals for the Swords.

Casey Parker netted for Farnham Royal Mavericks, but they were hammered 6-1 by Lambourn Sports Reserves, while Taplow United Reserves knocked Eton Wick Reserves out 4-2 on the back of a Jonathan Evans treble and an Oliver Mulley strike.

Reading City FC Development conceded their tie at D’Autore Lions.
