MATTHEW Stamp (18hcp) returned 40 points to win the President’s Prize at East Berks hosted by club president Andrew Cousins.
Runner-up was Marcus Swanston (12hcp) on 38 points, with Dan Willis (4hcp) finishing third on countback from Martin Lodge (10 hcp) and Nick Robinson (2hcp), who all returned 36 points.
The annual Ladies’ Open at the Crowthorne course saw 27 teams of three playing a Stableford competition with the best two scores from three to count.
The winners with 87 points were Helen Maclean, Lin Ives and Hilary Allwright from Moor Park and Wexham Park.
Easthampstead’s Lynda Moore, Norma Moran and Gloria Cooper were runners-up on countback with 85 points from their fellow club members Christine Woolhouse, Alex Lewicka and Kathryn Price.
Marilyn Monger from Royal Winchester GC was presented with a bottle of champagne for a hole in one on the 174-yard par 3 13th hole.
