The young attacking midfielder has signed from Basingstoke Town, where he played for their development team.

Moles manager Roger Herridge has also signed experienced midfielder Danny Horscroft from Woodley United.

A club statement said: “TJ informed us that he wishes to spend more time with his young family and is therefore unable to provide the commitment needed at Wantage.”

Ascot United’s encouraging pre-season performances continued with a 4-1 win over Isthmian League side Bedfont Sports thanks to a brace from Nathan Minhas and a goal apiece from JC Etienne and Louis Bouwers.

Head coach Aaron Steadman commented: “To beat a strong side from a league above so convincingly is pleasing, although there is still work to do and more to come from our young squad.”

The Yellamen’s opening Hellenic League fixture is away to relegated Bishops Cleeve on Saturday, with their first home game next Tuesday evening against Ardley United.

Their FA Cup extra preliminary round against Camberley has been brought forward to Friday week, August 10 (7.45pm) due to the race meeting taking place the following day.
