Golf: Ian Taylor triumphs at East Berkshire
IAN Taylor continued his fine form to win the men’s Centenary Cup at East Berkshire.
The 12-handicapper returned a nett 65 to claim the silverware from runner-up Corne De Haan (28hcp) 69 on countback from Bradley Linnett (12hcp).
The Senior Centenary Cup attracted a field of 60 and the winner was Douglas Crawford (23hcp) who returned 42 points with Lee Mason (22hcp) the runner-up with 40 points The club’s men’s Senior Open was won by Ian Roche (6hcp) with 38 points from Steve Brudenell (8hcp) with 37 points. Donna Hunt (10hcp) won the President Prize competition with 39 points on countback from Clair Shine (32hcp) with Kate Carter (16 hcp) third with 37 points.
