WILLIE Mullins’ Un De Sceaux roared to a five-length victory in the hastily rearranged Clarence House Chase on Saturday.
The Grade One contest had been postponed as frost struck Ascot Racecourse the weekend before, but Ruby Walsh had no problems steering the 1-2 favourite to a commanding victory at Cheltenham, Alan King’s runner Uxizandre finishing as the best of the remaining contenders.
Un De Sceaux’s impressive display has seen his odds of winning the Ryanair Chase at the Cheltenham Festival next month cut from 7-2 to 5-2.
