“WE don’t fear anyone in this league.”

That’s the opinion of manager Mark Tallentire after Bracknell Town had extended their unbeaten run in all competitions to seven games with a 2-1 away win over 10th-placed Highmoor Ibis on Saturday.

The fast-improving Robins are hauling themselves clear of the relegation zone and, with eight Hellenic League games left to play, they could well finish close to a respectable mid-table position.

“It was good to keep the run going,” said Tallentire following their victory at Palmer Park.

“That’s now five wins and two draws. We are showing some good, consistent form and can probably still get better.

“The aim now is to catch those sides just above us, such as Brackley and Ardley.”

Tallentire, whose men drew 2-2 at Thame last Tuesday, added: “The team is becoming more and more consistent and I now fancy our chances against any side in this league.

“We have still to play Kidlington and Thatcham and we are looking forward to taking them on, so we might have a say where the league title goes.

“But at the moment we are just taking one game at a time and so we are now looking no further ahead than the game with Brimscombe on Saturday.”

The Gloucestershire side lie ninth in the table. Bracknell have another home game on Easter Monday (3pm), when Royal Wootton Bassett are the visitors.
