LOCAL dignitaries will attend a charity concert for the Thames Hospice.
The concert will take place at Wellington College, Wokingham, on Thursday December 19.

Mayor Tina McKenzie Boyle will be attending alongside actor and comedian Tim Brooke-Taylor OBE, who will be hosting the event.

Alison Evans, Thames Hospice’s Head of Community and Events Fundraising, said: “We’re hoping for another sell-out night, so we can raise lots of funds to support our services – which are open 24/7 and caring for local people on Christmas Day, as any other day of the year.

“Please join us, and we promise you, your friends and family, will have fun and enjoy the magic of the festive season.”

The concert will feature performances from the Royal Harmonics and Windsor Boys and Girls Schools, as well as the Thames Hospice Choir, which is made up of staff and volunteers from the charity.

This event raises funds through ticket sales and a retiring collection on the night.
