AN EYE specialist has swapped the comfort of her opticians for a gruelling walk for charity.
Sue Caskey, the store director at Specsavers Wokingham, walked an exhausting 50KM in September.
The Thames Path Challenge begins in Staines and concludes in Henley-on-thames, and Ms Caskey took it on to raise money for Walk The Walk, a charity which has been raising funds for women with breast cancer for 21 years.
She said: "Successfully completing the Thames Path Challenge has been a goal of mine for a while, and I am incredibly pleased to have finished the 50k.
"Knowing that I was doing it for the wonderful Walk the Walk charity really spurred me on when it got tough.
"My team at Specsavers have also been a great help, they’ve been such a huge support.
"I would like to thank everyone who has helped me raise money for the charity, it’s going to such a brilliant cause."
