A GYM in Sandhurst has applied to become a 24/7 facility.

Foundation Fitness Club has submitted an application to Bracknell Forest Council to change the hours from 11am to 9pm Monday to Friday and 11am to 6pm on Saturdays, to run throughout the night and day.

The plans have not been met with enthusiasm by residents however.

Linda Smith, of Caverndish Park, lives just behind the site of the gym.

He wrote: "This gym is noisy enough now. Why does it have to be open 24/7 just to make our lives unbearable?

"What have we done to deserve this?"

Mrs T. Billins also lives in Caverndish Park, and had similar complaints.

She wrote: "I am writing to say I object to 24hrs opening to the gym car park. It is already too noisy.

"Our bedroom is very close to the car park, and we hear all the sounds that are made by the cars and the people driving them.

"It would be kinder if the car park was closed overnight."

The plans will be discussed at the Bracknell Forest Council planning meeting on Thursday, November 9.
