WATER was thrown over a sleeping man who was then attacked and chased down the stairs.

On October 16 at around 5.45am the 45-year-old victim was doused in water while he was asleep in his flat on Yorktown Road.

The offender, who is believed to also live at the property, attack the recently awoken man, grabbing the victim's cash and the phone, a HTC 530. 

When he attempted the leave the attacker chased the victim down the stairs and blocked his exit before he got past, ran to a a nearby shop, where a member of staff called the police.

He was later treated for a fractured nose and a cut to the lip at Frimley Park Hospital. 

The attacker ran along Yorktown Road past Waitrose and the Sandhurst academy as he fled the scene.

Investigating officer, PC Paul Bentley based in the Investigation Hub at Loddon Valley police station, said: "I am keen to speak to the man in these images, as he may have information which is vital to our investigation.
