The director of a Thatcham consultancy firm has taken on a new role organising strategic transport across Berkshire.
Stuart Atkinson, director of consulting engineers Stuart Michael Associates, has taken on a new role with the Thames Valley Berkshire Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP).
Currently transport adviser to Thames Valley Chamber of Commerce (West Berkshire) his firm advises on issues including infrastructure and transportation.
Mr Atkinson joins the board of the Berkshire Strategic Transport Forum (BSTF) which will help direct £142m of government funding to improving roads.
“As a Berkshire resident, a local employer and with over 30 years experience as a transportation professional, I am honoured to be selected for the BSTF," he said.
"I look forward to offering a strategic overview of the vital role that multi-model transport will continue to play in terms of sustaining economic growth and enhancing the wealth and well-being of Berkshire."
