SUCCESSFUL business women discovered they had made the semifinals in a major award scheme.
Nominations for the first ever Thames Valley Venus awards are closed and 120 guests, including sponsors and potential winners were invited to a special reception last month.
'The working women's Oscars' saw 59 women shortlisted for 11 categories.
Andrew Lean, Franchise Director at Marshall Volkswagen, who hosted the event, said: "We are very proud to recognise the women in Marshall Volkswagen, and also those who have been nominated for the very first Venus Awards in this region.
"We look forward to seeing the Finalists as they are announced in April and then for the Ceremony and Gala Dinner in June."
Naomi House and Jacksplace who provide expert hospice care to more than 340 life-limited and life-threatened children, are being supported by the awards.
The Venus journey will culminate in a glamorous Ceremony and Gala Dinner at the Madejski Stadium on Friday, June 9.
