MOTORISTS are being warned not to leave Christmas shopping within sight in their cars.
Police have issued tips to drivers as part of the police force's Wokingham Crime-Free Christmas campaign.
Detective Inspector Rodger Cartwright, of Loddon Valley CID, said: "We always receive reports over the Christmas period of laptops being stolen from cars, particularly while owners are enjoying a Christmas drink after work or out shopping.
"Thieves are even taking them from the boot, so please don't think that is a safe place. We would advise that people take laptops inside with them
