A PARENTING and lifestyle blogger has been nominated for a national award for her inspiring work while raising young children.

Laura Summers from Bracknell started Laura’s Lovely Blog which ventures into the world of parenting, lifestyle and books.

The Mum and Working Awards celebrate the UK’s inspiring individuals, businesses or charities that demonstrate how working practice and family life can go hand-in-hand.

The awards are judged a panel of businesswomen who can relate to the everyday struggles of managing their professional lifestyle while holding up a family and Ms Summers hopes to come out on top of the parenting blogger of the year category.

Ms Summers, said: I’m both delighted and honoured to be shortlisted for such a fantastic award. My blog has grown to be an exciting business for me which has enabled me to work flexibly around my children.”, which is amazing.

I hope to inspire other Mums in their everyday lives or to start their own businesses that they can work around their families.”

Voting opened in early January and will close on February 5 2018.

Finalists will be revealed online at mumandworking.co.uk on February 6 2018.

The winners and runners-up will be announced at an awards ceremony hosted by NatWest at Bishopsgate London in March.
