A PADDOCK could be turned into the site of 40 homes.

The Edwards Irish Partnership LLP has submitted plan to Bracknell Forest Council to build 40 homes north of Tilehurst Lane in Binfield.

The buildings would be a mixture of two, three, four and five bedroom properties.

If approved, the development would sit north of a site with planning permission for 28 homes and of listed building South Lodge, with several homes west on Tilehurst Lane.

In the application the developers wrote: “It has been demonstrated that the proposed development of 40 units will not cause harm to the immediate countryside and will integrate well into the surrounding area.

“The proposal will not be obtrusive in the street scene or in the wider landscape being located in a pocket formed between existing residential development and an area of countryside with extensive tree lines and copses forming a screened visual barrier.”

It is proposed two parking spaces be built for each two and three bed property, three for every four and five bed and eight extra visitor spaces.
