A PLANNING appeal will go before the council after originally being rejected.
The application had been made to demolish the existing building at Tinkers Lodge, Brockenhurst Road, Ascot, and replace it with a four-bedroom dwelling.
The application, which was originally rejected by Sunninghill and Ascot Parish Council, will go before the planning committee again on February 20.
It was rejected by the planning committee as it was deemed to be an overdevelopment of the site.
It was also deemed to be out of keeping with the townscape assessment of ‘Villas in a Woodland Setting’.
The gates were also deemed to be too near the A road and the parking arrangements were not clear enough, due to the fact that there was no indication of how many spaces would be required.
Also in the planning meeting, an appeal will be handed in against a refusal of the construction of a part two-storey, part single-storey side and rear extension to a main dwelling.
