CHILDREN from schools and nurseries in the town have come together to celebrate the Autumnal festival together.

On Wednesday 8 November, Early Years children at The Marist School, Sunninghill, were joined by youngsters from other local schools and nurseries to partake in the festivities.

Around 30 excited children took part in an Interactive Nature Trail, which provided pupils with the opportunity to explore and forage in the school’s 55 acres of woodland.

Along the way, pupils discovered more about how the woodlands and its creatures prepare for the forthcoming cold season.

Later on in the day, the children were guided through some woodland inspired art activities and particularly enjoyed the leaf decorating and printing and bark rubbing activities.

One young Marist girl commented: “I love playing in the crunchy colourful leaves in the sensory garden!”
