Trigger Point is returning for a third series on ITV, with the likes of Vicky McClure, Nabil Elouahabi and Eric Shango returning to the cast.
Once again, it will focus on a police bomb disposal team led by Lana Washington (McClure) as they come up against a criminal conspiracy.
Trigger Point started back in 2022 and has already been renewed for a fourth series which is set to air in 2026.
As reported by the Radio Times, the synopsis for the show reads: "Lana Washington and her team investigate a bomb threat that soon reveals itself to be the start of a sinister vendetta.
"Someone is targeting individuals and demanding revenge. Working alongside the Police Counter Terrorism Unit, the Bomb Disposal Squad race against time to find the bomber before they claim their next victim."
Discussing how her character is doing going into the new series, McClure shared: "Lana is a strong person and she likes to see herself as a perfectionist, but I think we very quickly see that's starting to crumble.
"We know from the previous two series that she has experienced a lot of loss, which was always going to catch up with her eventually, and this is the start of it."
She added: "So we are going to be dealing with PTSD, plus she's struggling with tinnitus, and she is relying on medication to get her through. She's quite a lonely character at the beginning of the series."

When will Trigger Point Series 3 be on TV?
The first episode of Trigger Point's third series will air at 9pm on ITV1 and ITVX on Sunday, October 26.
After that, the next episode will air in the same timeslot the following day, on Monday, October 27.
The remaining four episodes will then be broadcast in the same pattern.
