Investigations are ongoing by police into a horrific stabbing in Bracknell following the arrest of a 19-year-old.

The incident took place at a property in Bay Road at around 8:20pm on Thursday, September 19.

A 19-year-old man from Farnborough has been arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm (GBH) after the victim, a man in his twenties sustained injuries that required hospitalisation.

Officers from Thames Valley Police remain at the scene as investigations take place.

Investigating officer Detective Constable Clare Hickman said: “I understand that this may cause concern but I would like to reassure the community that this was an isolated and targeted incident with no threat to the wider public.

 “Increased reassurance patrols are ongoing and, if you have concerns, please speak to a uniformed officer.

“We are appealing for witnesses, or anyone with information, dash-cam or doorbell footage to please come forward.

The victim remains in hospital where he remains in a stable condition.
