A FINE and a driving ban have been handed to a Corby Hill man who has admitted failing to provide police with a breath specimen.
Andrew Kidd, 50, admitted committing the offence in Carlisle on April 2 while police were investigating him for a possible offence, the city’s Rickergate court heard.
He was fined £250 and given a 16-month ban. The defendant, of Cairn Crescent, Corby Hill, must also pay prosecution costs of £85 and a £100 victim surcharge.
He was represented by defence lawyer Jeff Smith.
Kidd’s disqualification will be reduced by 16 weeks if he completes a rehabilitation course by a specified deadline.
