A SENTENCING date has been set for a man who has admitted to assaulting two different women in Oxford.
Giles Shearing, of The Towpath Woodstock Road, Oxford, appeared at Oxford Crown Court on Friday (May 2) charged with four counts.
For the first victim, the 58-year-old has been charged with non-fatal strangulation and assault occasioning actual bodily, both taking place on March 31.

Shearing has also been charged with two counts of assault occasioning actual bodily for the second woman, occurring on October 15 last year and March 31 this.
He pleaded guilty to all four counts, telling the court clerk: “I plead guilty.”
He will now be sentenced at the same court on May 31. The case has been adjourned for a pre-sentence to be prepared.
