A leading supermarket has squashed rumours online that their Bracknell branch will be closing its doors.
A rumour that the Bracknell branch of Marks and Spencer would be among the list of stores to close was circulated on one of the Bracknell community pages.
Following much uncertainty, the retailer responded to put the record straight.
M&S Bracknell responded to the post: “Ooo what a rumour! Don’t worry we’re not going anywhere.”
Residents expressed their relief at the confirmation that the popular store would not be closing.
M&S bosses recently announced the closure of 10 of their stores across the UK over the next few weeks however Bracknell is not listed.
This is part of the five-year shake-up and restructuring that the company has planned since 2022 to concentrate on ‘food-only stores’.
