A van has been destroyed in a blaze after thieves failed to make away with it.
Thames Valley Police Rural Crime Taskforce attended an attempted burglary near Finchampstead.
The offenders, who were attempting to steal a van, left the vehicle - but not before setting fire to it.
An image from the scene shows the ruined van and charred ground.
Police have since confirmed that the van was stolen and an investigation has commenced.
Thames Valley Police have been approached for further comment.
In a social media post on Thursday, April 4, the same officers, PC Little and PC Tillyer, were reported to have also stopped a trailer near Bicester which was found to not be registered.
