After the recent successful Operation Knock, where Bracknell TVP team clamped down on E-scooters being used throughout Bracknell town centre and the surrounding areas, officers will be conducting a similar operation which is named Operation Glide.

The operation is due to the anticipated increase of E-scooters in the area due to it being the Easter Holidays.

Following on from a large amount of positive feedback from both members of the community and security staff at The Lexicon these operations will increase to reduce the amount of illegal E-scooters being used.

A spokesman for Bracknell TVP said "Please remember, we are policing based on feedback on the use of these E-scooters which some will strongly agree with and some may also strongly disagree with.

"We love a bit of banter as the Police, however we won’t be debating the legality or whether there needs to be a change in legislation (we’re the ones who enforce it, not make it!).

"As such, please do let us know of any current hotspots that you think needs an extra patrol over the next couple of weeks but please, as always, keep the comment section respectful."

Private e-scooters can only be used on private land, with the permission of the landowner.
