Thames Valley Police have erected several barriers within a carpark in Sandhurst after complaints were made by residents about anti-social behaviour and excessive noise.

This comes as a plea was issued for action when neighbours reported noisy car meets taking over a Tesco’s car park at The Meadows.

Following conversations with Thames Valley Police, MP James Sunderland and the car park management team at Tescos, a series of measures have been put in place.

Officers from TVP Bracknell and Wokingham have reported that alongside barriers placed at the entrance to the carpark at closing, they have also been conducting targeted patrols at The Meadows.

During these patrols, PC Murphy, PC Powell and S/Sgt Hutchison handed out several fines to vehicle owners with excessively loud exhausts and reckless driving through the car park.

One vehicle was also seized during the patrols after being caught with no insurance and failing to stop in the car park.

One fleet vehicle was reported to their company due to their involvement in Anti-social behaviour.
