A young man has been jailed for 12 weeks after driving while already disqualified.
Max Coopey, 22, of The Burlings, Ascot, was caught driving a Fiat at Ascot on January 19.
He appeared before Slough Magistrates' Court on March 4, where he admitted to the offence.
Despite his plea, magistrates jailed Coopey for 12 weeks.
In addition, he has been banned from driving for a further 12 months.
Explaining the rationale behind the severe sentence, magistrates cited Coopey's history of driving offences, and his noncompliance with court orders.
This meant that immediate custody was the only appropriate option left.
