More homes could be built in an area set to be transformed by major housing developments, if plans are approved by Bracknell Forest Council.

Mr Kevin Seaton has applied to Bracknell Forest Council to build three homes at Fox Covert Cottage on Old Priory Lane in Warfield. The site is flanked on three sides by much larger developments that have already been approved.

There is already one house on the site, along with several outbuildings. The plan involves demolishing outbuildings including a conservatory, stables and a garage and replacing them with three more houses.

But it is directly next to a much larger development – of up to 305 homes, plus a primary school and public open space – in fields between Old Priory Laine and Maize Lane to the east.

And plans to build yet more homes – some 150 – plus shops, directly opposite the cottage, on the west of Old Priory Lane, are still being considered by Bracknell Forest Council.

The council is also still pondering plans to add three homes to at Fox Covert Cottage. But pre-application advice given provided by council planning officers says they have no objection to the proposal in principle.

But it says that keeping the ‘verdant character of Old Priority Lane’ is a priority.
