The successful 1,277 students will transition into their new school later this year.
A further 7 per cent of applicants (101) got into their second-choice school and 2 per cent (32) were accepted into their third-choice.
The figures show more children are getting into their first choice schools, with 2023 seeing 84 per cent getting into their top choice.
