A shopping centre will be transformed with comic book fun this February half term.

Hosted by the Lexicon, a series of create-your-own cartoon workshops, a walking trail, and joke boxes will provide a host of things to do from Saturday, February 10 to Sunday, February, 18.

Visitors can win prize bundles by completing the Gnasher Trail activity sheet, with the hound hiding in windows around the town centre.

Everyone who hands in a completed trail sheet to the team at Craft Coop, in Princess Square, will be given a free Beano comic, while stocks last.

From Monday, February 12 to Friday, February 16 2024 children can create their own comic character at a brand new Create with Beano workshop in Princess Square.

The 30-minute free workshops for children aged six to 12, will be filled with jokes and creative play.

Places are limited, so need to be booked in advance.

Also in Princess Square, there will be an array of interactive joke boxes for kids to enjoy and daily activity sheets.

Sue Boor, head of marketing at The Lexicon says:  “We are so delighted to be able to offer something fun and different during February half term."
